From the GMR: GMR Lake Effects: An Overview of US Citizenship & Immigration Services Sept 19, 2013

Do you work with immigrants? Registration is available for our Lake Effects, September 19, 2013, at 1:00 pm CT for a presentation by Kate M. Syfert, Regional Lead for Community Relations, Central Regional Office, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security.
Kate will cover the responsibilities and activities of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and agency within the Department of Homeland Security. USCIS is responsible for administering federal immigration benefits, including green cards, work permits, and naturalization. This session will provide an overview of the agency, our current initiatives, and resources available for those who assist immigrants.
