From the GMR: News about Max Anderson

Network Colleagues,
It is with mixed emotions that I write to say that Max Anderson will be leaving his position as Technology Coordinator for the NN/LM GMR on June 15, 2012. During his tenure with the GMR, he taught 91 classes, online and face-to-face. He authored many classes (e.g. ‘Screencasting: Creating Online Tutorials’ and ‘Information Anywhere: Mobile Technology, Libraries and Health.’) that became very popular in the region and was often invited to teach or present outside the GMR region, including national online webinars for the Medical Library Association. Over his 4 years with the GMR, he has visited all ten states in the region numerous times conducting site visits, teaching and giving presentations, and exhibiting at conferences. He served as the state contact for Wisconsin and Indiana and was a fixture at their annual meetings and during the planning process. Max has been a major force for collaboration among the Technology Coordinators within the NN/LM and has been a valued colleague to Network members in the Midwest and his co-workers here at UIC.
He is moving on to serve as the Assistant Library Director for Educational Technology for the Library of Rush University Medical Center in July. We wish well in his new position, but expect to see him from time to time in the neighborhood, since Rush is right next door to UIC.
Max can be reached at max [at] uic [dot] edu until June 15, and rexlibris [at] me [dot] com after that date.
