SharePoint Webinar on August 26th

The Minnesota Chapter of SLA will host the August 26th SLA Click-U-Live webinar: “Dispatches From the Front Lines of SharePoint-Based Collaboration

Directions & Parking
1. Drive SOUTH on I-35E to County Road 26 (a.k.a. Lone Oak Road) — it’s the first exit south of I-494.
2. Turn LEFT and drive about 2 miles to Lone Oak Drive (it’s about 1/4 mile east of Hwy 55)
3. Turn LEFT onto Lone Oak Drive, go to 655 and turn RIGHT when you see the Ecolab sign.
4. Follow the signs to the Research Center
5. When you see the parking lot, turn into the FIRST row and find a parking spot in the visitor’s spaces near the SECOND stairway. If the Visitor spaces are full, park anywhere. (note that the parking lot is one level below the entrance level to the building)
6. Go up the stairway and enter the Research Center (Bldg F)
7. When you get to the Reception Desk, ask for Knowledge & Information Resources and one of the KIR staff will escort you to the conference room.

Seminar Description
As a consultant helping customers implement Microsoft SharePoint technologies to leverage their knowledge assets, I’ve seen some significant changes in the way clients collaborate and manage their knowledge, but many of them still have a long way to go. I’ll discuss how some Boston-area companies are solving their KM and collaboration problems, the barriers they faced or are still facing, and the positive outcomes, intended or otherwise.

This presentation is designed for knowledge managers and IT professionals who are benchmarking Microsoft SharePoint’s use as a knowledge management / collaboration tool or are interested in learning about this system’s capabilities.

Sadie Van Buren is a Manager at Knowledge Management Associates, LLC, a Gold-Certified Microsoft Partner based in Waltham, Massachusetts. Her main area of focus is architecting and customizing SharePoint deployments, specifically from the perspectives of usability, design, collaboration, and social networking.
Sadie has a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University, having majored in English Literature and French Literature. She received a Certification in Project Management from Boston University, and is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. Sadie blogs at
